Dr. Shiva Gopal Vasishta is Brilliant

There are some new results in from clinical trials. They show evidence that administering immunosuppressive therapy in high doses can trigger remission of multiple sclerosis. In this therapy, the dosing procedure is followed by transplantation of stem cells that form blood. Multiple sclerosis is a disease that is autoimmune meaning that it commands the immune system to attack the body’s nervous system.

Patients were administered the new immunosuppressive therapy combined with the blood cell transplant. Five years later a follow-up was conducted with them. 69% of those who received the procedure were still alive and had no worse symptoms than before they received the procedure. They did not have more brain lesions, disability or any other indicators of the illness. Remarkably, none of the patients continued to take medication for their multiple sclerosis. When compared to other treatments for treating this illness, the high-dose immunosuppressive therapy is more effective.

This study known as HALT-MS was funded by an organization known as the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. It is one of the arms of the National Institutes of Health. The researchers in charge of the study were from the Immune Tolerance Network. The study was published on February 1st, 2017, in an academic journal.

The casual dining restaurant Sweetgreen has enjoyed a great deal of success since they opened their first location. They are committed to offering their customers local farm fresh produce to create their salad masterpieces. They also have a unique business model that is one of the reasons that they have gained so much attention from not only their target market but from investors and critics alike. They have made a point to open their new locations in areas that other chain restaurants have overlooked that are in need of fresh and healthy food options. They position themselves in areas where there is a high concentration of offices and foot traffic that is not yet saturated with other competitors. They also pay a great deal of attention to the layout and presentation of the food. They have a see-through kitchen where you can see the food being prepared. The interior of the restaurant is clean and inviting. The prices for their salads are very competitive too. They offer a large, well-made salad for around ten dollars which are cheaper than most fast food options. This business model has attracted people to this company and made it one of the fastest growing food chains in the country at the moment.
